Dr. Dennis Kretschmann of Boehmert & Boehmert discusses the prospect of a Unitary European Patent which according to optimistic estimates, could enter into force within the next 12 to 18 months; and the reform of the German Patent Act that provides for a proportionality exception for injunctive relief as well as measures to accelerate patent nullity proceedings and to better align them with patent infringement proceedings.
