John P Ogier

thumbnail_John Ogier 1.jpegJohn P Ogier is the Chairman of the Intellectual Property Awareness Network. IPAN is a not for profit organisation dedicated to extending the awareness and opportunity of IP to all areas of business and education alongside informing Government policy relating to IP. His specialist area is as an IP economist. From 2006 to the start of 2014, he served as Registrar of Intellectual Property in the Bailiwick of Guernsey where he established its Intellectual Property Office. This included the development of IP legislation, international agreements and policy advice alongside the administration of the Office decisions. Whilst serving as Registrar he also established the operating model for Guernsey’s on-line Company Registry and served as Deputy Public Trustee.
