1st Place:
Post-Sale Governance and Innovation: Evidence of Authentication Strategies in Luxury Watch Resale Markets
Christophe Gösken

Christophe Gösken is a final-year doctoral candidate in Law & Economics at ETH Zurich, where his research examines how IP law and emerging technologies shape governance in digital markets. His work combines doctrinal analysis with empirical and experimental methods, including survey data and qualitative interviews with industry actors, regulators, and technology developers across Europe, Asia, and the Americas. He has been a visiting researcher at University of Hong Kong and New York University. His broader research agenda explores how legal systems structure authenticity, trust, and innovation in global digital markets for cultural goods.

Who Holds the Pen When the Machine Writes? A Prompt-Based Approach to Originality in AI-Generated Works
Modestos Gavalas

Modestos Gavalas is an EU-qualified attorney at law and a Certified Data Protection Officer whose academic and professional passion revolves around the dynamic intersection of Intellectual Property, Business, emerging technologies, and the Law. He has published other research papers on data protection and emerging tech. Currently serving as a Junior Legal Researcher at the European Centre for Certification and Privacy, he holds an LL.B. from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and an LL.M. in International Business Law from Erasmus University Rotterdam.
