Modestos Gavalas

Modestos Gavalas is an EU-qualified attorney at law and a Certified Data Protection Officer whose academic and professional passion revolves around the dynamic intersection of Intellectual Property, Business, emerging technologies, and the Law. He has published other research papers on data protection and emerging tech. Currently serving as a Junior Legal Researcher at the European Centre for Certification and Privacy, he holds an LL.B. from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and an LL.M. in International Business Law from Erasmus University Rotterdam.

Modestos Gavalas has gained practical industry experience navigating complex legal and regulatory frameworks as a Trainee Lawyer at Kyrmanidis Law firm, and as a legal intern at the digital health company Founda Health B.V. He has formerly served as the President of the Youth Municipality of Thessaloniki. Outside of his legal and professional interests, Modestos enjoys cinema and hiking.
