Ewan Nettleton

Ewan photo 1.jpgEwan is a Principal IP Counsel in the Commercial IP Department at Novartis Pharma AG in Switzerland where he is responsible for coordinating global IP litigation in relation to several Novartis medicines. This involves managing patent and related litigation across many jurisdictions. Ewan has also been leading the team which coordinated Novartis’ preparations for the Unitary Patent and Unified Patent Court.

Ewan is a qualified UK solicitor and was an associate at Bristows for 10 years before joining Novartis in September 2010. He has an MA in chemistry and a DPhil in protein chemistry from Oxford University, and various legal diplomas, including in Intellectual Property Law and Practice from Bristol University and in European Patent Litigation from the University of Strasbourg. He is also a member of the Chartered Institute of Patent Attorneys and of the Royal Society of Chemistry in the UK.
