Dr. Igor Nikolic

Dr Igor Nikolic is a Research Fellow at EUI. He specialises and writes in the areas of intellectual property rights, competition law, standard essential patents (SEPs), innovation and technical standardisation, competition and digital economy. Igor completed his PhD at University College London, where he is also associated as a Senior Fellow at UCL’s Centre for Law, Economics & Society. His recent book ‘Licensing Standard Essential Patents: FRAND and the Internet of Things’ (Hart Publishing 2021) examines law, economics and policy of SEP licensing. Igor has given presentations at various international conferences, published in academic journals and taught competition law at UCL, King’s College and University of Turin. He is also a qualified attorney at law.
