Although small in size, we continually create new content to make IP more accessible and relevant to businesses, researchers, and policymakers. Meet the team behind 4iP Council!

Axel Ferrazzini

Managing Director

Axel Ferrazzini is an intellectual property expert with a background in technology R&D, business management, and public policy.

He became Managing Director of 4iP Council in 2017, following more than 15 years of experience in the industry across North America and Europe. Axel has held board and advisory roles at the Open Mobile Alliance, DigitalEurope, ETSI (since 2014), and GLIPA (since 2022). His expertise encompasses standardisation, innovation strategy, and intellectual property (IP) policy.

He holds an MS in Computer Science and an Executive MBA from ESSEC & Mannheim business schools.

Magali Contardi

Senior IPR Researcher & Coordinator

Magali holds a PhD with an international doctorate mention from the University of Alicante, where she also earned an LLM in Intellectual Property Law. Her research journey has taken her to renowned institutions, including the Max Planck Institute for Competition and Law in Munich, the Sant’Anna School of Advanced Studies in Pisa and the City St. Georges University of London. She has also pursued specialisations in Artificial Intelligence, Intellectual Property, and Business Law.

Magali’s professional path includes working within European and international IP organisations, IP firms in Germany and Italy, and as a tech transfer lawyer at research centers.

Marta Sierra

Head of Marketing and Communications

Marta has over 13 years of experience in digital marketing and communications, having worked internationally with startups, agencies, and corporations. 

For the past seven years, Marta has worked as an independent digital consultant, as well as a mentor and teacher for SMEs at the Business Institute of Madrid (IE). As an entrepreneur, she has experience in the SaaS, arts, and touring sectors.

She holds a Master's degree in Business and Marketing from the Complutense University of Madrid.

Sofia A. Lugo Korobkoff

Graphic Designer

Sofía is a Graphic Designer currently studying at the Polytechnic University of Valencia and is now also undertaking an internship with us again, bringing great ideas to the team!
